GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

Kaputian Wharf in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS), Davao del Norte is about 45 minutes away by boat from the Sta. Ana Wharf, Davao City. It is managed by the city government of IGaCoS and is a vital link, especially for residents who regularly use it as a passageway for basic commodities/exchanges and for the island's tourists.

NAVIGATIONAL APPROACH

Kaputian Port is navigable through the Davao Gulf. For those approaching the gulf, one can pass between the east side of Samal Island and the coastline west of Davao Oriental.

ENTRANCE CHANNEL

Vessels plying the Kaputian route enter the Pakiputan Strait which lies between Davao City and Samal Island.

No designated anchorage.
