
GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
This port serves the motor launches going to the nearby Island Garden City of Samal. It has a wooden platform with a concrete causeway and is known as the nearest connection point in Davao City going to Babak, where the bulk of the commuting Samaleños come from.
It is located at the tip of the Barangay Sasa Public Market. An average of 14 motor bancas call at this port on a daily basis.
The port approximately lies between latitude 7° 05’N and longitude 125° 35'E and is bounded in the east by Samal Island.

NAVIGATIONAL APPROACH
The sole entrance point for incoming ships as well as departing ships wanting to access the Km. 11 wooden pier is the Davao Gulf.
ENTRANCE CHANNEL
Much like the Sasa Wharf, entry to the Km. 11 temporary port is through the Pakiputan Strait, the channel in between Davao City mainland and Samal Island.
