
GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
Lupon port is located in the eastern part of the Davao Region and is under the geographical division of the province of Davao Oriental. It is about 35 kms. away from Mati and is 123 kms. of Davao City. Lupon's pier facility was constructed by the Philippine Ports Authority on April 25, 2004 to address the requests of its local governance through its Congress representative for an alternative port to boost economic trade within the area.

NAVIGATIONAL APPROACH
Similar to other ports located within Davao del Sur and Davao del Norte, vessel enters the Lupon port by traversing Davao Gulf and through Post Point towards the municipality of Lupon.
ENTRANCE CHANNEL
Lupon pier is accessible through the Post Point leading towards the municipality of Lupon. Sea crafts entering the Davao Gulf also pass by a portion of the waters within Cuabo Bay before reaching the Lupon vicinity.
