The Port of Talusan is the port that served the needs of three towns located within the island of Olutanga, Zamboanga Sibuguey.
It is located at 37° N Long 123° 01' 5 E, SW of Igat Point of Moro Gulf, Province of Zamboanga Sibuguey.
NAVIGATIONAL APPROACH
The Port of Talusan is accessible by passing through the Moro Gulf and Sibuguey Bay towards Locsico Bay and at the entrance of Cataliza Strait separating the Olutanga Island from the mainland of Zamboanga Peninsula.
ENTRANCE CHANNEL
Reaching the Locsico Bay and at Locsico Point, the vessel enters the Cataliza Strait and proceeds to the port of Talusan.
ACHORAGE
Coral reefs within the vicinity of the port prohibit vessels to anchor within the port area.

SHIPPING ROUTE AND SCHEDULES
Routes for vessels calling the Port of Talusan are Zamboanga City, Margosatubig and Sagasa. MV Magnolia Emerald leaves Zamboanga every Tuesday and Thursday for Sagasa and Talusan while MV Ever Queen of Hope leaves Talusan every Tuesday and Thursday for Margosatubig and Zamboanga.

Talusan Stevedoring owned and managed by Marlyn Ramiso and being supported by five officers. The operation of the port is under the direct supervision of the Municipal Engineer of Talusan.
