The port of Ipil is located at the southeastern section of Zamboanga Sibuguey province. It lies at the crossroads between the Pagadian City, Zamboanga City and Dipolog City routes.
NAVIGATIONAL APPROACH
The approach to the port is from the entrance towards the Sibuguey Bay, Vessels will pass through Bagalibud point in the west and Patan point toward Tayuman point at the eastern portion of the Zamboanga peninsula.
ENTRANCE CHANNEL
Entrance to the port is through the Sibuguey Bay through Seboto point in the east and Vitali point in the west from the Moro Gulf.

No designated anchorage area.
