The Port of Malangas is situated at Latitude 7° 37' N Longitude 123° 01' SE, SW of Igai Point NW of Dumanguilas Bay, coastal town of the Municipality of Malangas, Province of Sibuguey.
It is linked by a concrete roadway of about 20 Km. from the national road junction of Pagadian-Zamboanga Highway. The port is just a walking distance form the town proper and approximately 110 km west of Pagadian City and is classified as a tertiary port within the national port system.
NAVIGATIONAL APPROACH
The Port of Malangas can be accessed by passing through the Dumanguilas Bay from the Moro Gulf.
ENTRANCE CHANNEL
Entry to port is from the South at Dumanguilas Point which is opposite the Olutanga Island. From there, vessels proceed to the Northern part of the Moro Gulf then finally to Dumanguilas Bay.
ACHORAGE
A vessel may anchor 500 m SE of the pier at 18m depth, mud bottom.

SHIPPING COMPANIES
The shipping company regularly servicing the trade route from the port of Malangas is Ever Shipping Lines. However, there are tramping vessels coming to the port carrying bulk cargoes such as cement, bottled cargoes, rice and other cereals but its schedule is not fixed and irregular but rather dependent on the volume and availability of cargoes coming in or going out of the port.

SHIPPING ROUTE
The sea routes for the Port of Malangas are Zamboanga City, Margosatubig and Pagadian. The lone private port of PNOC caters to vessels coming from and going to Davao, Cebu, Iligan, Luguit, La Union and Batangas delivering coal cargo.
SHIPPING SCHEDULE
Shipping schedule of the passenger vessel, MV Ever Queen Emilia is twice a week. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday for Zamboanga City and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for Margosatubig.
